OUCC Pilot (CONTINUUM Triage™)

Opioid Urgent Care Centers (OUCC) are programs that can provide walk-in medical clearance, addiction assessment, triage, and facilitated referrals to inpatient and outpatient addiction treatment. OUCC program staff need to be able to assess and place individuals in the appropriate level of care using an ASAM criteria assessment tool.

Required training consists of an overview of the CONTINUUM Triage™ tool.  There is an additional training in the WITS portion that will need to be done. Once participants have been trained in both WITS and the CONTINUUM Triage™ tool, and licensing has been confirmed with BSAS, they will be assigned a log-in for the WITS system.

ERIN CSS Pilot (CONTINUUM™)

The intent of the ERIN pilot program is to increase capacity to initiate voluntary patients on extended release injectable naltrexone (ERIN) during their treatment episode at the CSS program and to ensure effective transitioning of these patients to community-based services to continue their medication assisted treatment and support services. ERIN social workers conduct clinical assessments using the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) Criteria Software and provide on-going care-coordination for up to one year to support engagement in treatment and recovery support services for clients being treated with ERIN as part of the pilot.

Required training consists of two parts. Part one consists of Patty Canham with FEI providing an overview of the WITS system, which is the database that holds the CONTINUUM™ tool and is used to register ERIN patients that are part of the pilot.   Part two consists of an overview on the CONTINUUM™ assessment tool.  Once participants have been trained in both WITS and the CONTINUUM™ assessment tool, and licensing has been confirmed with BSAS, they will be assigned a log-in for the WITS system. Since this is a pilot, each ERIN pilot program may only have one license for the tool.
