ATR Receives Community Partner Award

Community Work Services, a 140-year-old nonprofit in Boston, awarded its first Community Partner Award to the Massachusetts Access to Recovery program at an Oct. 11 ceremony in Boston.

The award is given to an agency or organization that has helped make CWS’ success possible and supports its vision for Employment First. ATR is operated by Advocates for Human Potential Inc., headquartered in Sudbury.

ATR supports Massachusetts residents in early recovery from opioid addiction and has developed a successful job training program with CWS for its ATR participants. ATR is funded by the federal government’s Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration through grants to the Massachusetts Department of Public Health Bureau of Substance Addiction Services. Founded in 1877, Community Work Services helps people who face barriers to work obtain employment and achieve self-sufficiency through innovative job training, placement and support services.
