MA ATR CONNECT Newsletter – April 2013

We are half way through Grant Year 3 and have enrolled over 5,500 individuals since ATR began in 2010. The ATR participants benefited greatly from all the services received, especially the wonderful relationships they have developed with caring ATR Coordinators who help them develop goals for their recovery and access recovery support services.

Many individuals have told us they are in a better place because of the Access to Recovery program. Participants at the South End Technology Center in Boston credit the program with helping them feel prepared to get a job. A person just hired at Fenway Park said,

“If not for SETC, I would not have known how to handle my interview. They practiced with me, taught me how to answer interview questions, maintain eye contact, and present my good qualities. I am now ready and excited to begin a new life, with a new job, and feel that I have much to be thankful for.”

We continue to find these stories  heartwarming and hope many more people will be touched by these collaborations.
